Laughing Gas (Inhalation Sedation)
With laughing gas sedation, we have the ability to make treatment easier for both children and adults. The laughing gas-oxygen mixture (N₂O limitation max. 50%) is administered through a nasal mask and exhaled through it. Laughing gas has sedative (calming), anxiolytic (anxiety-relieving), and analgesic (pain-relieving) effects. Patients are fully conscious and responsive throughout the treatment. The use of laughing gas is particularly suitable for:
- anxious/nervous children and adults
- patients with pronounced gag reflex
- stressful treatments (e.g., extractions)
