Fissure Sealing

In fissure sealing, noticeably deep fissures (grooves and ridges) on the chewing surfaces of the molars are cleaned and filled with a flowing fissure cement or composite, so that cavities cannot develop in these areas. Depending on the anatomy of the teeth and the individual cavity risk, I recommend fissure sealing. Teeth with flat anatomy typically do not need to be sealed.
